 A Wayward Yorkie

A lady close to 5th and Hubbard found a female Yorkie and contacted SACARC.  Later that evening a SACARC member while out walking her dogs found a lost Yorkie flyer on a telephone pole on Liberty Street. The owner was very grateful for the call to reunite her with her lost dog. She said her daughter had not stopped crying since they discovered her missing. Apparently someone working at the house inadvertently left a door open and the dog wandered off.

Reunited, and it feels so good!

Other pet/owner reunions:

Duke

Bullet

LuckyTucker

A chocolate lab was picked up by one of our SACARC members one Sunday when he ran in front of her car at 1st and Main.  The friendly boy came right up when presented with treats, jumped in the car and let his collar be removed so the tags could be read.  While he rested at one of our foster homes, we checked out the website found on his rabies tag. This site provided us with his name,Tucker, and a local number that turned out to be Jax Animal Care and Control. We were able to get an address and phone number and reunite the owner Eric with Tucker a few hours after he escaped for his neighborhood jaunt!

 Kiss Me Katie

SACARC was given a lost, very sweet female bull terrier. The area was canvassed with flyers and the owner found our flyer on her car. The owner has only been in the neighborhood a week and a half and Katie found a way under the fence in the wee early hours. Katie and owner were reunited.
