This kitty was found around 12th & Laura with a badly injured tail.  A SACARC  member has her temporarily and will get her the care she needs.  She was initially assumed to be feral but is actually fairly tame and friendly - if she is someone's pet we would certainly want to return her to her rightful owner.

About SACARC
  • SACARC is a registered 501c3 organization that was founded in March of 2006 in response to a posting on the SPAR forum board by a Springfield resident asking for help to rescue some of the strays in the neighborhood.  Since then, SACARC has successfully found forever homes for over 400 animals.  We are comprised strictly of volunteers who dedicate their time to help us achieve our goals.  All animals are housed in foster homes until they find their forever home.  Besides rescuing and placing needy animals, some of our goals are:
  • To increase awareness about spaying and neutering pets to end the cycle of pet overpopulation.
  • To give medical care and homes to our furry friends in distress.
  • To offer access to low cost veterinary care to our community's low income families.
  • To assist with trap neuter and release (TNR) of neighborhood feral cats.
